Such as with this 2003 Outback. I never really paid too much attention to the BH Outback. It always seemed to bulky compared to the previous Outback (the BG), and not as sleek as its replacement (the BP). However, my views are changing. Seeing one in the right color combination made me realize that I like them quite well. I especially like the grille (specifically, the 2003-2004 grille) and headlights.

I could see having fun with one of these. Maybe some headers, new cams, suspension bits, etc, keep it N/A. Just a good platform to play around with and learn on sometime down the road.

Has anyone else found that one car that changed their view on the entire model/generation?

They are growing on me as well. I used to write them off as looking like a bloated catfish, but - done right - they look really nice now. I have a feeling they'll age quite nicely too.
